How Challenge Contributions Work
When you join a challenge with a contribution requirement, your contribution goes directly into the challenge pot. This pot is what gets distributed to participants when the challenge resolves.
Think of it like putting money into a shared jar with friends — once the outcome is decided, the jar gets split according to the rules everyone agreed to upfront.
When You Get Your Contribution Back
Change your mind before lock time
If you withdraw or change your prediction while the challenge is still open, your contribution is returned to your wallet instantly. No questions asked.
Challenge is cancelled
If a group admin cancels or voids a challenge, all contributions are automatically returned to participants' wallets.
You win
If your prediction is correct, you receive your share of the pot based on the challenge's payout policy — often more than you put in.
When Contributions Are Not Returned
After the challenge locks
Once lock time passes, all contributions are committed to the pot. This is the whole point — everyone has skin in the game with no backing out.
Your prediction was wrong
If the outcome doesn't match your prediction, your contribution goes to those who predicted correctly (or to charity, depending on the payout policy).
Account violations
If your account is terminated for violating our terms, pending contributions in locked challenges may be forfeited.
Transferring Your Wallet Balance

Platform Fees
Who Called It charges a small platform fee on challenge payouts. This fee is clearly displayed when you create or join a challenge. The fee helps us keep the platform running and is only charged on completed challenges — not on contributions that are returned to you.
